Thanks to its rehabilitation team, enriched with the professionalism of the psychologist and social worker, the clinical-functional and psychosocial frame is assessed for the reintegration of the client into the working, family and social world.

Since 2003 he has been accredited with the Tuscany Region. Since 2011, following the entry into force of Legislative Decree 81/2008, it has been accredited by the Region for non-hospital and outpatient intensive rehabilitation activities pursuant to art. 26 l. 833/1978 for 23 residential beds and 23 semi-residential beds. Health accreditation was renewed in 2018 with the executive decree of the Tuscany Region no. 5418/2018.

From 2012 it began its career as a research center in the field of new technologies and in clinical research for musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

  • injured at work and technopathic patients assisted by Inail
  • Italian and foreign citizens assisted by the NHS
  • Italian and foreign citizens from EU countries or from other countries with which reciprocity agreements are in force
  • private individuals (outpatient services only).
Thanks to the intensity of the treatment programs (at least 3 hours a day), the multidisciplinary methodology and the possibility of welcoming patients in conditions of severe reduction in motor and personal autonomy, the Crm is a valid resource for those (Inail local offices, national health care) intend to offer its clients a treatment path that begins immediately post-acute (also by direct transfer from acute care departments), aimed at maximum functional recovery and the prevention of all those complications that may arise from taking late loading or insufficient care intensity.

According to the agreement with the Ausl 5 of Pisa, the Crm can access all the diagnostic and specialist consultancy services of the local hospital unit (radiology, analysis laboratory, orthopedics, neurology, neuro physiopathology laboratory, cardiology, pulmonology, internal medicine).

The assisted person is taken in charge by the multidisciplinary team of the Crm (made up of primary physiatrist, doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, psychologist and social worker) through the writing of the individualized rehabilitation project, which is shared with the patient himself and defined according to his/her needs and residual abilities.

The main objective is to promptly respond to the needs of the injured person by intervening with high quality personalized rehabilitation treatments, aimed not only at recovering functional efficiency, but also at recovering the work gesture and occupational aptitude.

The quality and safety of care are ensured by implementing all the practices of the Tuscany Region and the relevant ministerial Recommendations.

From a rehabilitation point of view, the main pathologies treated are poly-trauma, fracture trauma of the limbs and spine, complex limb trauma, surgical reconstructions of the hand tendons, ligament reconstructions of the knee and shoulder, arthroplasty, peripheral nerve injuries, vertebrae-medullary traumas following the treatment path in the spinal units.

The physiotherapy staff of the Crm is constantly updated and trained in the most accredited rehabilitation techniques (therapeutic Pilates, Rpg, Trigger point, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular taping, McKenzie, etc.) and has the latest technology and is therefore able to conduct programs of highly effective functional re-education. At the Crm fitness centre there is also a laboratory for the packaging of custom-made orthoses in thermoplastic material for the upper limb.

The rehabilitation treatment is integrated by a program of adapted motor activity in water, managed by physiotherapy personnel with specific training, which takes place at the local municipal swimming pool.
The quality and safety of care is ensured through the pursuit of all the practices of the Tuscany Region and the relevant ministerial Recommendations, and a team made by Clinical Risk Managers and Facilitators who deal with the management of clinical risk.
