Alzheimer's disease and dementia, 36 million people worldwide are affected
The report WHO-ADI "Dementia: a public health priority" has been published: according to the researchers, in future the disease will be an increasing challenge for the national health services. The costs are estimated at US$ 604 billion per year at present and are set to increase. Each year 7.7 million new cases are registered. Families also need support because individuals affected by dementia thanks to appropriate care can continue to have a good quality of life

"Women who win": 2012 in the Anmil, Inail and Miss Italy calendar

Health and safety at work, here are the winners of the competition of the European Agency

The first prize goes to the polish Krzysztof Maksymowicz for the photo that depicts the hands of a seamstress at work. Second prize in Turkey, the third in Ukraine. In the jury also the italian photo-reporter Marco Di Lauro. The competition aimed to reflect on prevention: in Europe there are more than 7 million of accidents and 20 million cases of work-related diseases

Students with disabilities on the rise, here are the balance about school inclusion in Italy

Report of Treelle Association, Caritas and Agnelli Foundation on disabled pupils in Italian schools. In classroom they are 62 thousand more than 10 years ago, the total comes to 200,000: 2.24% of the entire school population. The higher incidence in the secondary of first degree (3.3%), boom of attendances for those in the second degree (+118%). More and more foreigners: double troubles for them.
